What did you do to your truck today?

Let's get this thing back on track. I got my '92 back yesterday after it finally passed inspection. Before the inspection I had replaced the core support, ball joints, brakes (front and rear), front bearings, front body mounts and a sh*t ton of other stuff. Feels like I have a brand new truck now Except of course for the 6 months or so of green-buildup that I had to powerwash off, boy was that thing dirty
I finally got mine running after being broke down for a week with ignition problems. A week later and a bunch of new parts, I took it out today when I went hunting. But while I was under the hood recently, I realized the plastic end on the throttle cable was broke in half, which I think has something to do with the weird idle problems I have sometimes...the end that connects to the throttle body. It buckles when you step on the gas, since the plastic piece is broken and is no longer rigid. So I went online and looked up the cable. There were 3 different cables available...identical, except for different lengths. I took mine off so I can order the right size. Wouldn't you know that the size I need (only a couple inches difference in length) costs about 3 times as much as the other sizes. Bit the bullet and ordered it (no one has them in stock locally). Looking forward to putting it on. I think it may have been broken since I've owned the truck!

Replaced my steering box with a redhead steering box, installed new power steering lines, and new atf f fluid in the box and pump. Very pleased with this box, well worth the money.
ISO - DIY Slideout Beds
Hey Gang,
Anyone built their own low profile slideout beds?
I'm wanting to save some cash [for now] and build my own to see how I'm going to get along with one. With a hard tonneau cover, I'm concerned with maximizing height clearance.
Ideally, I'd like to construct a drawer using up no more than 2 vertical inches of height from the deck of the bed.
Thoughts?!?
Cheers.
(Merry Christmas!)
