I hope mine looks that good some day.

As for me, got some new factory headlights in, just need to install them.

Don't sweat it. Just remove the header panel and use a pair of pliers. It's way easier that way.

Well, got the new TPS on, put everything back together, went to start truck, turned key to start and bam, all power was lost, with just one click/thunk sort of noise. Got out and wiggled the battery cables/re-tightened them and power came back. Turned key, same damn thing. Awesome. I've got a new solenoid so I'm gonna throw that on today or tomorrow, all my grounds are fine, but the battery cables, neg and pos, could use replacing too. Love this truck, but lesson learned, don't buy a truck from a dead junkies old lady. Poor truck has been pretty damn neglected.

Oh that's optional? Everything I've read and seen says to remove the grill, blinker/parking lights and move the rubber piece on top (sorry can't think of the name). They use either needle nose pliers or snap ring pliers to get the clips off. I guess there's a tool for it?

On topic, didn't do anything TO it today but rather FOR it. Ordered some Son1c Wax Carnaubavore wax for her. I polished her a few weeks ago with Meguiars UC and put a coat of UW on topped with S100 but I'm a nuba fan. I'd rather skip the sealant approach and go with a really good carnauba.

It was the damn battery cables, the neg more than likely. Gonna replace all/most of the starter/alt/bat cables. Anyone know of a good source?

I don't know about any special tools. But removing the blinker/parking lights is the "fun" part of the job, the header panel is held in by just a few screws that you can reach freely, after which it comes off and you have all the room you need.
