Well this sucks. Changed a flat just off the highway. The valve stem was broken in half so it went flat rather quickly but I think I pulled over just in time I didn't damage it. Just had to air up the spare a few psi.

Well ended up needing a new tire, sidewall did end up getting torn a bit under the weight. No big deal with my warranty, only cost me 35$ for a new replacement.

Welded the two broken tabs on my brush guard for my 88 F150. Once I get the new motor in I will install it.

ended up getting a free starter for the 75, 6 starters bench tested while in the store and they all failed, finally ordered a motorcraft starter and called it good.

A lot has been done since I last posted here. I have rebuilt the lower end of my engine (5.8), gotten exhaust work done, and pinstriped the tailgate just above the applique' with a brown stripe on either side of the tailgate handle. It looks sharp, but is minute enough not to make it look gaudy. It is the perfect touch, really. Oh, and about the applique', I decided to put some paint sealant over it and clear over this, and what a difference it made. It went from faded to fantastic. What a shine! I will post pictures whenever I can get to a computer. My Street Queen is well on the way.

Got up early this morning and changed the oil. Went back with my trusty Supertech 10w30 full synthetic and motorcraft filter. I was going to swap over to the larger filter this time around, but I couldn't find the post that Fordtrucknut posted a while back with the filter number. I had to tighten up my oil sending tee which was leaking and I cleaned up some oily grime in attempt to see where my other leaks are coming from. Looks like I'll be doing an oil pan gasket at the next oil change. I'll most likely replace the oil pump while I've got the pan off just because. I went 8k miles and used 1qt. of the Supertech this go round. Most of that 1qt. was drips sitting on the concrete under the truck from the sending unit tee. The rest looks to be the pan gasket. Hopefully the rear main isn't my issue.
