Anything 6 lug is a 1/2 ton 4x4 or heavy half 2wd.

Anything 5 lug is 2wd 1/2 ton. In trucks.

As for vans....that all goes out the window cause they did some crazy things with them.
I didn't say only, just generally. There are far more 5 lug half tons than six lugs, and far more 6 lug 3/4 tons than 8 lug. I know for a fact there aren't any six lug vans in my body style though.

Yes that's the heavy halftons I was talking about.
They came with semi float GM 14 bolt rear axles instead of the 12 bolt.
The 8 lug 3/4 ton GMs came with a Full float 14 bolt rear diff.

Your right about the vans, as for what you see more of, that's probably because you live in Florida.
I rarely see the 6 lug 2500s (heavy half) trucks around here. All 8 lug

Depends on the years you're talking about. I'm mostly talking about '73-'87 Chevy trucks. But, being in Florida, there are still a **** ton of them out there on the road.

All the vans Sean speaks of have marajuana leaves painted on the sides. Lot's of hippies hiding in the everglades! Hippies know their vans. Favorite salvage yard find. As soon as one shows up they all check the hidden compartments. "I know there's some left in here".
