Glad to see I'm not the only one fighting wheel studs, I replaced a broken stud on the left rear last week, got new tires Friday and they said one stripped one out. So I replaced it today ASSuming that I'd stripped the new one last week setting it, but I was wrong. Turned out the slack asses had stripped one out themselves, and apparently have no idea what torque specs are, so I torqued all my other lug studs while I was at it.

I remember working in the shop and having to change studs fo rthe different wheel styles (on semi's) it was really easy, if you spun the hub at the right speed, and were fast with the maul you could get them all in one rotation. Putting the new ones in was easier yet, start them all then start nuts on them and run them down with the impact.
I miss working there sometimes...

Yesterday I was driving my truck and someone pulled out making a right turn on red right in front of me while I was doing 45. My truck is going to be down for a while. Hardly any body damage at all, but my suspension is tweaked somewhere. The steering wheel is 180 degrees turned from its normal position, the alignment is out, the steering has wayyy more slack in it than it did, and the sway bar is rubbing the frame. It was his fault though so we'll see what his insurance does.

It happened yesterday actually but I found out about 30 mins before that I had to take my neice to a skating party. She asked what we were going in and I heard the civic was going to be free so I said that and she said aww I wanna go in the truck. Well come time to go she went out and stood by the building where I keep my truck. I couldn't disappoint her. Not to mention I was proud of that little girl. So we took the ol' ford. She is 9 btw.

Removed the bed bars and went to Lowe's Hardware to get a tool box mounting kit. Installed the tool box and I'm loving it! Also changed the oil and filter. Next new thing-install my CB radio. Got the head unit for $15. Now I just need an antennae.

Installed passengar side Radius Arm bushing, man was it a b*tch to get those rivets out. Ran short on time, had to get to work, so we're hittin the drivers side Saturday.
I'll have to post a pic of the hill I have to climb in order to get in the shop we're using, great early test for suspension parts, cuz if it don't break there I doubt it'll break on flat highway

Just got my truck back last night. We did Roadkill through out, new carpet, new head liner, and new leather. It will get the leaking back slider removed and a new flat glass put in the back.

I bought some gear oil so I can service my diff tomorrow. It hasn't been changed in at least 140k, and it very well could be the fluid it left the factory with if the original owner didn't change it. I'm pretty interested to see what it looks like in there.

Used my new code reader to check the KOEO codes. Only code it found was for an egr valve not functioning, which I already knew because I blocked it off. Going to try the KOEO codes later when I go to the store to get food n sodas. Timing light will have to wait until sunday at work.
