Not trying to be funny, but I rattle canned an old Dodge p'up with rust colored rustoleum to blend in with the actual rust and it looked pretty good.

What color is it now?

Usually it is easier to paint it the same color it is (even when rattle canning).

Dupont Spray BedLiner Black. Comes in spray cans and covers awesome. I did it to my 84 CJ 7 floor and it came out great. If you want to add a spray paint stripe , paint the strip[s] first then mask them off and do the Spray on Bedliner.

I rattled canned my 79 bronco midniight blue with high build primmer then paint then clear coat. I just did the fenders and hood qnd looked good but was so expensive buying all the cans wasnt worth it I took it to a painter And had it done for me. You should look up plastic coat if you just want a matte color its pretty wild. Look up dip your car or truck there official website sells a truck kit includes the sprayer tape and color for around 300 bucs. I watched it on utube and its pretty sweet.
