Default weird squeaking

Some thoughts on this, at low speeds, and only when the clutch is engaged/in gear, theres a kick ass squeak from one end of the drive shaft or the other (can't rightly stay under when its moving). Could it be the output of the transfer case? input for the rear end? If you let off the gas, the squeak stops, if you get back into it, it shows up again.

Coasting, you hear nothing, at highway speeds its likely droned out, but I can't hear it......

I'd love to have this....not do this.

Mine is doing the same thing. I "hope" it is the U-Joint.
Will a twelve point socket take the bolts out?? Nothing apears to fit the star shaped bolt heads right. I don`t want to round them off.
Thanks

Yes its a 12mm 12 point socket. Better use a good one so it dosen't break or round the heads.

Pulled the shaft out of mine yesterday and the back U-joint was very stiff and the front one was ready to fall out. Had to replace two of them but it got rid of the "squeek" and also a small vibration that I thought was a tire.
Unfortunatly I split an end cap when trying to get the last clip in place so sometime down the road I will have to change another one.
Next time I take it off I will have to open the end of the driveshaft about an 1/8 inch. Seems like the last one I had put in the guy must have hammered it too hard and closed it up a bit.
