Water pump / timing chain cover bolt kit
Hi everybody!
Any body having an idea where to get those water pump / timing chain cover bolts as a kit for my 1991 302 ????
Checked with ROCKAUTO / NPD / LMC / EBAY:COM -->> NADA!!
Problem is to get those two bolts with the stud to pick up the A/C comp & P/S pump bracket....everybody`s telling me they only have it for the old style engines, not the ones with the serpentine belt drive...
Tried here in Germany with a " PRO SHOP ", being in american FORD, mainly Stangs of the newer gen, no prob, they promised only to let me know THREE weeks after this " NO PROB " the same I found out myself in USA...§$"!!==)(/&%%!!
Oh, by the way, in case it matters: The water pump has a aluminum housing, I was asked if alu or cast over here, is there a diff and if so, what sort of???
Any help kindly appreciated!
TIA,
Ingo

AAAWWWW, c`mon, so many readers, nobody ever had the same issue with the bolts near the water passage rusted thin, so you don`t trust `em anymore to torqueing them down to hold the cover and gasket tight?
No matter, tried another search word : WATER PUMP BOLT.....
ROCKAUTO carries those three bolts, two of `em with the needed stud
Should`ve thought of that earlier, always thought of it as a very complete kit for the cover

I run into that issue all the time, but I keep stainless bolts in house. I usually go to the dealer if there is something I need, but i would imagine that may be a little difficult over there. Unless you can find a ford dealer who can source them from ford and have them shipped in for you. Try ARP- they have top of the line fastener kits for just about everything.

Thanks for the tip, but all ARP I found only had the hex head / old style...
