just recently my 1994 ford f150 sb 5.0 has the metric 20 bolt auto tranny pan... threw a check engine light when i drive truck,it will not shift unless i speed up to almosty 4500 rpms, and it wont go into overdrive mostly stays in 2 gear... i unhooked the battery and cleared the codes, truck ran fine with perfect shifting.. after 15 min the check engine code came one and tranny returned to normal..where is the vehicle speed sensor located at? is there anything else i should look at ?

not sure how yours is set up but mine is on the speedo cable where it goes into the transfer case.
