Well it depends how many tools you have...its really not to bad, gonna have to take the hub all apart so you can get the knuckle off. Thats the hard part. After that the shaft just slides out. There should be a slip yoke on that shaft so you dont have to pull the shaft out of the diff.

it can be done, but the hardest part for me was getting the spindle off. damn thing rusted on pretty bad, took a lot of heat and beating to break it loose.

Sorry you will have to remove the spindle, as for the steering knuckle it can stay put there is enough room to remove the axle from the knuckle if fact you must remove the axle to get to the ball joint nut to remove the knuckle. I must be lucky because neither my 93 nor even my 83 had much problems removing my spindles from the knuckle no heat, presses or any other fancy equipment needed. I used a 2X4 and some gentle persuasion from my hammer.

Ohh yeah my bad, I forgot the knuckle can stay on its the spindle thats a biotch to get off. Mine were persuaded by my dead blow hammer and lots of cursing. I dont think its a good idea to use heat on those, theres a needle bearing inside there. Dont think it'd do you much good anyway.
