I am experiencing a major coolant leak at the rear of the engine. Everything I put in comes right out. I am physically not able to shimmy under the vehicle to see where it is coming from. Nothing can be seen from the top.
The truck is a 94 F150, 4.9 straight 6. No coolant on the inside of the truck.
Any thoughts on what might be the problem?

Maybe a freeze plug. Just a guess though.

On my 302 it was leaking a the lower intake manifold gasket at the rear, did a temp fix with blue devil head gasket sealant until I could replace the gasket.

On my 5.0L my heater plug fell out and that is where all of my coolant leaked out. On the 5.0 the heater plug/freeze plug is on the passenger side behind the wheel. I dont know where it would be on the 6 cylinder engine tho. Where is is leaking in realtionship to the engine (Where can you see the liquid dripping to passengerside/driver side)?

Last time I looked, it seemed that the fluid was coming out of the tranny bell housing. Does a 4.9 straight 6 have a freeze plug at the rear of the engine besides the side?
