That's some good information to know. Thanks. I hope I never have to use it but if I do then I know.

They will inspect & test you, & then grant you a permanent variance that will then follow the vehicles title transfers. The vehicle is then A-Ok from then on, as long as those mods stay in place & continue to pass.

This is also required & holds true for MAP to MAF conversions. This option for engine Modifications is not commonly known, but true. It's an option for end users (owners).

But if you want to manufacture a component & have it CARB approved (Which passes a standard visual inspection).....Good Frickin luck! You'll need that & buckets o' money & still may not be approved!!!
Awesome.

For everything including the guages and tunning it was around 3k. To build just the "turbo kit" it was $1200.

Just wanted to put up new info. i havent updated here as much as i have at ford truck. So i have rebuilt the motor with ARP hardware and Custom Forged pistons. I turned up the boost to 16psi and got 350hp and 400tq to the wheels. I have to convert to Mass Air to finish the tune. the truck has some part throttle drivability problems. I have also added meth injection and need to build the transmission. the stock trans is rated to handle 400tq at the flywheel but now my truck puts 500tq at the flywheel. so at full throttle it starts to slip.
