Default Turbo on ford 4.9

Am wanting to put a turbo on my 1992 ford f150 with the 4.9 just to get a few more horses. Is it worth doing or not? My dad has a turbo on his 04 250 but im not sure if its a good idea or not on a gas engine.

You do realize an air filter has nothing to do with over heating, right?

Turbo systems are very complex, unless you're buying a fully tuned kit you need to really know what you're getting into.

I would think it's not worth it. Could swap to a v8 instead.

Yep . I had thought about taking it to banks performance and see if they could tune it up with the turbo
