Well... who can argue with a can of injector cleaner and spark plugs? The thing is that the injectors are downstream of the schrader valve and spark plugs are in the ignition system. So that may not fix you low pressure problem. Upstream are lines, filter and pump.

On my 88 there is a method to check in tank pump output. This test involves disconnecting the out put line at the first point after the pump. Grounding the test plug and running fuel into a container for one minute then measuring the amount. This will test the health of the pump itself.

I love to see people testing instead of replacing parts. Pull those codes that's your first step. Is also check the IAC valve. They can cause that problem and usually need a good cleaning anyway.

I have a major issue with my trucking not wanting to stay running. After work last night around midnightish,I ran out of gas next some peoples house middle of nowhere.1 hour later, buddy of mine showed up with some gas.turned it over few times letting the pump do its thing. It def has gas,but won't stay running at all.It just dies every single time.I couldn't even DRIVE it 5 feet w/o stalling on me.I don't know anymore about this truck. It has a new 3 month old pump/filter and brand spanking new map sensor. What else could it be? do i need new spark plugs? is it a vacuum leak? another bad sensor some where's? i'm running out of ideas.

Start a new thread...

Include year, model, engine, transmission. It looks like a brick but tell us anyway. Any recent repairs. Who changed the pump and why. What kind of pump and was it in the tank or frame rail.. Front or rear tank. Have you ran it out of gas since the new pump went in.
Give us much info as possible... Help us to help you.
