Default Truck won't start unless clutch pushed hard

I have a 94' and it just started acting up. The truck will not start unless I push the clutch hard to the floor. I was told it could be the plastic retainer that's between the push rod and clutch peddle. I replaced it and still have the same problem. Any ideas?

I bypassed that plastic POS years ago...lol. Silly safety-**** part. No one who routinely drives a manual trans EVER starts the engine w/o putting the clutch to the floor!

How would you go about bypassing it?

tie same two color wires together....unhook the connector and try it and see if it starts with the wires jumpered.
