'94 F150 5.0L 5spd manual

Ran fine yesterday went to start it this evening to go to costco and wouldn't start. has spark, replaced rotor in distributor as well as fuel filter. have tried started it a few times and nothing. theres also no pressure to the fuel rail. pushed the little thing in the stem valve on the fuel rail and has no pressure.

 

What's the question?

 

If there's no fuel pressure, it's probably an issue with the fuel system or pump. Do you hear the pump kick on when you turn the key? How many fuel tanks does your truck have? If it has two, try switching to the second one. If the other one works, the fuel pump in the first tank is shot. If that one doesn't work either, it could be a bad fuse or your fuel pump relay is shot (fuel pump relay is located on the drivers side fender well). Have someone turn the key and listen for the pump relay. If it doesn't click, replace it. If that fails, there's a messed up connection somewhere.

 

fuel pump comes on. has two tanks. tried switching tanks and didn't help

 

the question is why won't my truck start?

 

It's not getting fuel.

 

Well I kinda figuredthat much. Going to replace the fuel pressure regulator when I get the chance this evening since I don't have any pressure in my fuel rail

 

It is weird that the pump is coming on but no fuel. I'm trying to think up a suggestion for you.

 

Can the lines get clogged?

 

I'm sure they could, and depending on where it could be forcing the fuel to the other tank.
