Default 1989 metallic clank

My 4.9l straight six with manual 5 speed has a couple of issues which may or may not be related. First I noticed some vibration at steady low speed (around 40-45mph). By steady I refer to maintaining consistent throttle. As soon as I let up even slightly it went away. This is now the case through 70mph. I've also been getting a metal on metal clank when pulling forward in 1st gear after reversing. The clutch was replaced about 3k miles ago but has had a kind of hum to it when in neutral. The shop that replaced it never could tell me why. Ideas? Thanks!

Thanks. My gut tells me joint. It's going to the shop tomorrow for right front lower ball joint replacement. If y'all think I'm doing wrong please let me know. I've had her since brand new in '89. She's my girl.
