Truck Dies When AC Is Turned On
New to the forum. I'm sure this is a simple thing to fix, but I have not idea. First time I've had a mechanical problem with this truck since new.
1992 F150 XLT. 5.0 engine. 5 speed. 241,000 miles. Daily driver. When at idle and air conditioner/defrost is turned on the engine immediately dies. Turn off a/c or defrost and engine restarts without difficulty. When running at highway speed a/c or defrost work great. When slowing down from highway speed with a/c or defrost on engine dies if clutch is depressed.
