Default Troubleshooting help needed

'92 F150, 302, 5spd manual 4x4. Thanks for all of the help in the previous post. I got the overheating problem solved, but I'm still having the "vapor lock" symptoms when the motor warms up. Can someone help me narrow it down? I'm thinking that the injectors aren't clogged, as the truck seems okay at highway speeds, although I do hear a little "pinging" from time to time, but I think that's because it's running rich. Would I still hear the fuel pump prime itself if it were going bad? It sounds fine and I've only got the one tank. I've replaced the fuel regulator and filter. Is there anything else I can check before I drop that tank? Also, to get to the fuel rail on the left side of the engine to take the injectors off, does the whole intake need to come off? I can't see any other way. Thanks. -Al

Do a fuel pressure check. This is the only way to see if the pump is operating properly. Check the computer for codes, it will tell you if the engine is running lean, rich, among other things. Yes, the upper intake manifold must come off to get to the injectors under it. Do the fuel pump and computer checks first.
