Default Transfer case rear output shaft seal

Hat all will I need in order to change out my rear output shaft seal? M5OD R2 BW 1356 transfer case. Just the seal? Do I remove the whole tailshaft and push it out from behind? What do you recommend? Slip yoke style output shaft.

take out the 4 bolts on the axle side of the drive shaft.
pull the driveshaft out of the transfer case.
use a seal puller or flat head screw driver and pop out the old seal. install the new seal.
put the drive shaft back in.

Gonna fave to be screwdriver then. Dont see myself getting or renting a seal puller. As for the 4 bolts biught a small set but I don't have e16 to fit it, so when I did the conversion, for the same price as a larger set, I got the 2 lifetime warranty U-joints, so my plan os remove again the recently installed rear U-Joint. Recently installed should be easy to un-install. Thanks thats what I wanted to know.

This mut is a 94 front axle, 90 transmission-tcase and front drive shaft. 94 (I THINK) rear derive shaft. Somewhere between 88- 91 clutch line. AZ u-joints, clutch, radiator, water pump, used electric fan from a 91 or 92 Aerostar van that was converted from clutch to electric

becarefull with the durajunk ujoints from autozone. yeah they have a lifetime warrenty, but that is only on the ujoint. i had one go with maybe 500 miles on it. they would cover the ujoint just fine, but not the bent driveshaft that resulted from their junk product. i go with precision from orileys

I'd be afraid I'd loose everything down to the engine if I put that "O-really it didn't come from a junkyard" parts on my truck.

i've never had a problem with anything i've ever got from orilley's
cant say the same about autozone. BUT i get the good stuff like moog just name brand parts. hardly ever do i get a store brand part. maybe thats why i've had good luck with them.
AUtozone on the other hand never carries name brand parts you have to order them, then they want twice as much as i can get the down the road in stock

Exactly, I tell my worst enemies to shop for parts at Autozone.

Good thing it's the rear seal and not the front pump seal, a little less work.
