Torque converter issue on rebuilt tranny install
Hello everybody,
I am working on my mother-in-law's 94 F150 with the electronic 4 speed auto and 5 liter V8. The install instructions said to pull out the converter and make sure the bolt holes match up with the flex plate, then pre-fill it with one quart of fluid. I did that, but now I can't get the torque converter to fully seat back where it came from. Is there some trick to this? what is the likely problem that is keeping it from seating?
Is there any way to know for sure it's properly seated before trying to install it?
Thanks a ton
Jeff

Its prolly getting hung up on the trans pump put it in with light pressure and
keep turning it will eventually seat.
If you look at the snout of the converter you will see 2 flat spots those flat spots are what engage into the pump its a pain trust me.
