Tire Size??
I have a 1991 Ford Lariat XLT F-150 Ext Cab 4X4. I want to know what the original tire size should be for this vehicle. I probably sound stupid asking, but I am new to trucks and the tires that are on there look waaaaayyy to small for the truck. I think they are 14" tires! Everyone I talk to say there is no way that my truck should be wearing 14" tires, that they should be at least 15's. Please Help!

yeah, its a nice truck, got it for a good price! Want to customize it up a lil bit...but 1st want to make sure I am driving it with all the right parts on it....ha ha!
Like I said, I'm new to trucks, don't know where to begin on how to customize it, so I figured I'd ask around. I'll be back around asking some more things, hope nobody minds helpin me out! G Feel free to give me some suggestions!!
One other ??? I had sort of a rough time trying to get up my hill in a 2 inch snowstorm, I had it in 4X4, but still had a hard time, could it be that the tires are too small??? Or is it a mechanical issue. I'm thinking and hoping, it's just because the tires!!

Your tires do not look a lot like "winter" tires, so driving uphill might be very hard even in 4x4
There are a lot of other guys smarter than me in here, so i think they would provide a lot more help in customising your truck. Welcome to this forum and enjoy your stay

Tires have alot to do with making up hills in snow, some tires that are rated for snow and ice work great on ice but a little snow stops them, others work great in snow but on ice you slide all over. The factory size tires look tiny in the fender wells of these truck IMO. I have 31 10.50 under mine and they fill out the fender wells better. I think it is odd that these have factory smaller tires on them than my toy did.
