Exclamation Throttle Position Sensor

I recently had the TPS changed in my '94 F150 and I noticed something wierd. When I fire it up from a cold start, it no longer goes through the warmup cycle where the tach would go up to 1200 rpm for a minute or so then drop back to around 700 rpm. Now it goes to about 500rpm and wants to stall. Any suggestions? My mechanic cleaned some gunk out of a few sensors like the one inside the airbox hose and something with the gas pedal also. THe pedal doesn't feel sticky anymore just real smooth...

Sounds like the IAC is not connected or isn't working. The IAC is the control of engine idle as directed by the PCM.

Oh, the thing that I forgot to mention is that once the truck warms up, the idle is back to the normal 700-800 rpm...

Is the IAC easy to find that I can just take a gander to see if it is connected?

It's pretty easy to find. It's on your throttle body assembly

IAC seems like a good possibility. After inspecting and cleaning the IAC valve, I would clean out your EGR valve with some carb cleaner and also clean out your MAF sensor with some MAF sensor cleaner or contact cleaner from Radio shack. DON'T use carb cleaner on the MAF sensor elements. Hope you figure out the problem.Good Luck
