Default Are there any recalls on fuel tanks? 1987

Noob here. I just bought a 1987 F150 and the guy I bought it from said something about there being a recall on the dual fuel tanks. Also one on the ignition switch. Any body know about these?

Never mind. I talked to the dealership and was told there isn't any recalls on this vehicle.
I do wonder what could be wrong with the dual tanks though. The guy that sold it to me said something about not being able to use the rear tank. Any known issues?

bad fuel pump or the tank is leaking, the trucks 20 years old to be expected.

So, it has a fuel pump for each tank?

there is a fuel pick-up in each tank, plus you should have a fuel pump under the driver side cab between the frame rails.

I went out today and checked to see if I was getting power to the rear tank and traced it down to where someone cut the wires going to the rear tank pump. Must have been too cheap to buy a pump and got tired of blowing fuses
I'll probably just remove the rear tank and not worry about it. Can't afford to buy gas for both of them anyway
