Seems fine to me.

I'd look into exhaust mods when given the chance though imo

The sound quality is poor in the video. Why do you say that?

I love your truck and build, just thinking sound could be improved is all

. The sound quality is poor in the video.

What kind of break in period did you have to go through with the new engine? My truck's been dead since Monday and I'm going to go ahead with replacing the engine just like you've done.

Assuming you have a roller cam.

Keep it cheap and simple. Use Supertech HD30 motor oil or any cheap HD30 oil that you can find. Nothing synthetic. Idle your engine at 2000 RPMs for 20 mins. If it suits you fancy, you can variate the idle between 700 and 2000 RPMs.

After this, drive it no more than 3000 miles before changing your oil. If you are absolutely itching to change your oil, try to get it up to at least 1,000-1,500 miles.

Edit: No special additives are needed.

If you are using a flat tappet cam, ignore all of this advice and good luck.

Well guys its been a while since I have updated this thread but I got around to getting my AOD rebuilt and got the transgo shift kit in. It shifts great and I finally got my overdrive back. I also taught a vortec 5.7 not to mess with a little old 302 lol.
