Tail light wiring???

Tail light wiring???
If i was just to hard wire a wire from the brake light switch to my rear tail lights, which wire would be the 1 to splice into to get my brake lights to come on??

There's no power from my brake switch to the brake lights so i need to run a wire from my battery to the switch and then run wire to the brake lights. I need to know if any1 knows which of the 3 wires is the brake at the light bulb housing!!

I really want to know about the brake light switch. It has 2 connectors on it the 1 on top is power but the 1 on bottom is for what?? If i put a constant power supply to the top 1 and a test light to the bottom 1 and put it an a - the light comes on when i push the brakes. So if i was to hard wire from the switch back to the lights how would i do that??

Check your wiring in the back I had the same problem last year "no brake lights" turned out to be the ground wire in the rear of the truck driver side. Replace wire and bingo!

What year ford ? I have a 92 F150 in the back of the truck there should a connector usaully on the drivers if you unplug it, you will have either 7 or 9 pin plug. With a test light and a freind Test each pin (should be female) Have your bud put on lights. Move the test light to each pin, when it lights up tell him to turn off then back on that's so you know it not a constant power source. Do the same thing for the turn signals, Reverse lights and then brake lights.
If they all work then the short is after the connector, then I would pull the tail lights off and ***** each wire to the bulb connector with your test light same concept as the connector. When I lost my brakes lights I had power to everything at the connector so I changed the wiring harness to the lights themselfs ( I had a spare one). If you have power to everything at the bulb connectors then it might be the bulbs or to much grease in the bulb connectors. Good Luck
