Well economy is in the crapper, NC teachers are getting pay cuts, longevity pay and bonuses rightly earned cut. What is one to do, decrease monthly outtake of cash flow! I am regretfully selling my 2006 Toyota 4Runner but saving $500 a month will be worth it. My father in law passed about 6 years ago, nobody in the family wanted to do anything with his truck. It has sat at my dads shop since. With the new developments my mother in law has signed the title over to me for me to have when I need it, I teach HS Agriculture (FFA) so a truck is definately needed from time to time. She needs cleaning very badly, 4 new tires, 4 shocks, brakes all around and a fuel pump to get her going. Those are what is on the needs list. Wants is fix the AC, put on a helper spring on the back and run duals. Without further wait.

Anybody have any suggestions of cheaper pricing for fuel pumps and AC components online rather than my local Auto Zone or Napa?

Completely stripped it and repainted all the black trim on it this summer.

Naa they are the cheapest. Besides if you buy the parts online and dont work, its a pain and xtra money to ship and reship. Good find. She will serve you well if you take care of it. Besides think of it this way, at least now you have a real truck instead of a glorified grocery getter.

If you can find a salvage yard that is usually a great place to get parts. There is no shortage of old f150s in the junk yards either.

Nice e30! Don't see those up north much. Down in South Carolina I see them all the time though. Great little cars.

HELP!

I am going thru with this even if I have to custom this however. One of my good friends on monday is taking his black 94' Ford Lightening and turning it into the CFC for a 09' Chevy ext cab 2wd for towing. He has agreed if it will fit for me to swap out the bench seat in mine for his chairs and he will swap rims/tires with me since it is going to the crusher. Worst prob of this, truck runs very well. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wants a new truck.......... Will I have to drill extra holes to get those captains chairs in? Direct bolt in?

yup! Thats what I had to do to get captains seats out of a bronco to fit in! So, take everything off of the lightning you can! Because once its crushed, its dust. Those are getting more and more rare!!!! everything that can be taken off should be! it only has to limp to the dealer

Any reason your friend couldn't take 1990 and swap you for the 1994? He could limp into the stealership with the old truck and you could have a better ride. Just a thought.

prob is, I just got that truck signed over to me. has to be under ownership/license/insurance for a year prior to turning in. Otherwise i
would be all over it!

I buy my parts online at www.rockauto.com. Becareful buying A/C parts at a junk yard, the compressors have a tendency to seize up over time.
