sticking starter

Default sticking starter

i have an 87 f150 i needed a new flywheel i replaced it however i replaced the starter and the solonoid as well. sometimes when i go to start it it grinds sometimes the starter stays engaged sometimes it starts up ive replaced the solonoid and starter several times i need HELP!!!!!!

Replace the starter it is hanging up. You had to replace the flywheel was it because the ring gear was chewed up, if it was it was the starter that did it.

Replace the solenoid with a Motorcraft part. I went through 6 or 7 of them before I went to the junkyard to get an original factory part. The parts store solenoids stick all the time and the starter runs and runs.

well i replaced the starter again and it hasnt stuck its even quiter. yea the flywheel teeth were f#$ked
