Default Tranny noise I think

I have a 93 F150 xlt 5.0 2wd e4od tranny, so a few days ago I noticed a noise when I started my truck in the morning to go to work and I heard what sounded like a whine but as the truck warmed up it went away, but know it does it all the time, I checked the fulid level and it was a little low maybe 1/2 quart if that much, I had the tranny serviced about 1 1/2 yrs ago and the tranny was rebulit 3 yrs. ago, it's my only source of transportion so I need to fix it fast PLEASE HELP

You said that it was serviced a year and a half ago. It might be time for a fluid and filter change.

Try running some seafoam trans tune throught it before changing the fluid and filter. It will clean the valve body

Get a second or third opinion.

It might not be the whole transmission but just one part that isn't functioning.

There's always that money motivation ya know ?

Trust ... but verify that what they're telling you is right. Even people with the best of intentions sometimes make a bad call.

Find a junk yard trans. Spend like $200 on it until you can save up for a rebuild one.

I love how almost every tranny shop will listen to your symptoms and tell you yup its toast! Without so much as even looking at it, pulling codes or diagnosing.

Like has been said run some sea foam and lucas transmission lube, change the filter and fluid and try that before jumping into a used or rebuilt one.
