Speed Sensor Question
I have already replaced the rear wheel abs sensor, the speed sensor to ecu located on the side of the transmission and now I need to replace the vehicle speed sensor to speedometer. Where is it located? This is a photo of it.
on my '89 2wd it is on the drivers side of the tranny twards the back if i remember right, you will only see the plastic part and the bigger metal peice that holds it in place, i also belive that it is a 10mm bolt..i may be wrong about that though
I am not sure where it is located but if you are working on a 4 wheel drive the speed sensor will be after the transfer case so the ECM and speedometer get a correct reading when in 4 low.

I know how to fix my problem but don't know what the part is called I thought it was the speed sensor but alot of people have called it something diff. I know this pluggs into the tranny bc it was unplugged from it but I can't find a pic that shows it unplugged from the tranny when looking down the plug end on both the cable and the tranny it looks hollow or like both females. can anyone help with a pic pls? this is a pic of it plugged together I need one of it unplugged. or tell me if there is a piece that goes down the down when they are plugged into each other. I might be missing that piece if thats the case
