95 ford with dirt in dash
This is a work truck, not street, and sometimes I haul hay and when loading it the wind blows crap everywhere including down the cowl vent and then its in the heat and air ducts.
The part I can't figure out is how it gets inside the instrument cluster which I removed and cleaned a while back.
If only ford had put some thought in keeping out the dirt when they designed
the truck because some of us work with the truck.
Anyway, is there anyone out there who has had this problem or knows how the dirt gets in there or how to keep it out. Thanks
Dan

well the air ducts are not 100% air tight meaning its not like a water pipe the desighn was to make the air move and if it leaked here and there big deal so that being said there are hoses and pleneteums around the area of the cluster so if you got hay in the cowel it will be sucked up and what gets pased the screen will go into the ducts and leak out wherever theres holes in the pipeing nothing you can do besides take the dash apart and construct an air system or make it a sealed unit every joint you would have to glue good luck
