Just get the round gap guage at the parts counter. The gap gets larger as you go around it, so just slip it in the gap, and turn it until you get where you want to go. It's seriously that simple.

here we are... and you can rest assured those giant bolts are OE!
The little plastic tab that goes into the slot in the lower right of the second picture was broken somehow completely unrelated to me accidentally sitting on it so the tank was just flopping around secured by only the one bolt on the other side

I figured if I did something half assed and then sat on it again and broke it, I'd be doubly pissed... so I decided to do it industrial strength

i just did a tune up on my truck the other week. i bought the truck with 140K a year ago no it has 181K. i have a feeling the plugs where og! pretty worn out and the gap had been worn down to .96 i gapped the new ones to .54. it runs smoother but didnt run to bad with the old plugs in. id say ran .54 and youll be fine.
