so my truck won't start and stay running
I have an 89 f150 with the 5 L , This started intermittently, then more , now won't start I have attached a link to my youtube video. I have fuel pressure and I replace the icm. Truck has about 170,000 on it. seems like a fuel thing to me but what do I know. I was hoping some of you might have some ideas to steer me in the right direction. Thanks

maybe electrical
I just realized the truck will kinda run with the key in the .start position but when I let it off to the run position that's when I dies, what electrical component might that be.

Given what you said in your last post, suggest to have a look at the ignition switch - located on the steering column about above the brake pedal.
Had similar erratic problems with mine, when I unhooked the switch to have a look, it fell apart in my hands.
May wish to consider disconnecting the battery before fooling with it, so unexpected stuff doesn't happen.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Wde3477, thank you, you are a gentleman and a scholar, you are the only one that gave me any advice on two forums and I appreciate it. Finally I got time to replace the ignition switch. I did come apart, all is well now thanks again.
