Default smog pump as a vacuum pump

i have a 1994 f-150 supercab with the 5.0. in the process of replacing the smog pump i thought of running the intake hose from the pump to the outlet on the drivers side valve cover. i understand the crankcase vacuum improves ring seal and was wondering if anyone has tried this. my engine has 237000 miles and is factory original with no rebuild. i need all the ring seal i can get ahold of. does anyone see any potential drawbacks of this? i may give it a shot for gits and shiggles.

not even worth while on your setup...

these maybe worth a 3hp gain but then we are talking in engines that make 600+hp...for normal stock stuff....zero

hell i would just run what u think will work and see if it does.... use the side of the pump that actually sucks in the air and run it to the valve cover... that should create some vacuum...
