Default shock tower rivets

my 1995 f150 makes a creaking noise from the front end upon accelerating from a stop. I heard somewhere that the rivets holding the shock towers to the frame can begin to loosen up and cause a creaking noise.. has anyone ever heard of this/experienced it??? i'd hate to go through the trouble of replacing there rivets with bolts to find out its not the issue. Thanks alot, Rob

Look carefully around the tower for chipped paint or any signs of movement of the tower.

for me the creaking was the spring rubbing the spindle....it did it when I hit the brakes...right when the tire would stop and then try to re-bound...

How did you end up fixing that?
