Default Shifting problems

Hey. I have been having trouble with my f150 shifting into drive or reverse. It is a project truck so it doesn't get driven often. It used to jump a little when shifting D to R. But now I get nothing. I shift and the truck doesn't move. It is and automatic. Xlt Lariate. I dropped the pan and cleaned the filter. Fluid seemed good and no gunk in the pan. Thanks for the help

^^what he said,
And make sure you have enough fluid. Check it hot, idling in park. You probably already did that, but just in case,
