Seat conversion
Hey guys, I'm honestly new to working on vehicles and stuff, especially on the cosmetic end ( I know a little bit about engines from working on them with my dad), so I was hoping someone could tell me how easy it would be to switch out the bench seat in my '93 F150 for buckets?

yea you could do that, or drill holes in the floorboard of your truck to mount the new bucket seats in.... the bucket seats should have 4 bolts on each seat.... the bench, just has 4 total.... so with the bucket seats, you have to have a total of 8 bolts (meaning you just have to drill 4 extra holes in your floorboard).... just make sure if you drill new holes, that you dont drill into the trans or anything important like that.... i plan on putting bucket seats in my truck here soon because i HATE my leather bench seat with a passion lol i go around a curve and slide out the passenger side window lol (me being sarcastic)

Yeah I hear ya lol, I'd like a center console but can't have one of those with a bench seat, and I just think the buckets would be more comfortable. I saw a thread on here earlier that this guys friend was scrapping a '94 lightning and he got to take the buckets out of that lightening... beautiful seats, I wish I was that lucky lol :P

i went to advance auto parts and bought a plastic center console that i strap in with my 3rd seatbelt lol that'll do the job untill i can put bucket seats with a console in mine.... i'd really like to find a 40/60 bench seat out of about a 97 f150.... that'd be nice, but here in west virginia, everyone either totals every vehicle out, or they burn them for insurance money lol so i couldn't get that lucky either

And yeah, I get what your saying about everybody wrecking their vehicles... not so much insurance fraud, but totaled, yeah I see a lot of that lol.
