Seafoaming a '90 302
seafoamed my 90 f150 w/302 via brake booster vaccum hose this past saturday. upon starting it mostly smoked out of the right side(drivers side) of the engine. i can tell this because it has duel exhaust with no "x" or "h" pipe installed. i couldnt really tell any difference in the way it ran and was expecting that it would from the way people say it makes a difference. i guess my question is if there is a better way to induce seafoam into the engine and should i do it again since it didnt seem to be distributed evenly.

Boys use to dump seafoam in there vaccum lines to there trucks to pretend they were diesels. Most seafoam says to use it on the gas if I remember right. Was told by a pal of mine that you should use it at full strength, like it says on the back use with atleast 5 gallons. so use it with like 4.5 to 5 gallons. But I hope someone chimes in who actually uses the stuff. I never used it.

thats a good tutorial and that is how I did mine. still though, no smoke from the left side would indicate no 'foam made it to that side, right? i saw where another guy said the same thing happened when he foamed his too.

is it true dual? or a single in dual out muffler? if the latter, than it is getting to both sides of the engine, it just isnt going through both outlets in the muffler. i have a single in dual out and sometimes in the winter smoke only comes out of the right exhaust too.
