i got a can of Rustoleum black "hammered" paint to do my back bumper with. it has this new and "improved" trigger style cap, and its not working at all. i shook it for two minutes, and all it does is spray this burst of paint, and then nothing. the aerosol or whatever the propellant is is coming out fine, but no paint. so you see a mist spraying steadily out of it, but no paint is coming out. its annoying as hell. has anyone else had this problem and is it just because of the new cap?

with any type or brand of spray paint, i have had good results keeping the paint in a hot bucket of water prior to painting..really helps with flow and clogging

No telling how long it sat on the shelf before you bought it. I'd say you have a bad can. Things happen. See if your store will swap it out
