Default Rubbing Gas Pedal/ Exhaust Tapping Noise

I changed the head gasket on my 89 4.9l I6 F150 and It has a small vacumn leak, I think because it idles rough. When I accelerate there is a tapping noise in the exhaust that increase as I accelerate. Also when I accelerate my gas pedal feels as if it is rubbing or grinding. When the cars off it doesnt rub. I pulled some vacumn lines to check and found nothing, but I pulled the fuel pump regulator vacumn line and there was gas dripping out of it where it connects to the manifold. I did the same for the PCV ( the one that runs manifold to valve cover and there also was gas leaking out of it. What is the problem?

fuel pressure regulator. Gas in the pcv... that sucks. I dont think theres a vacuum leak, from what you said it sounds like its just the fuel problem. Replace the regulator.

Do you put motor oil in your gas tank? I've never actually had that problem, but it doesn't sound healthy. Rule of thumb is if it isn't suppose to be there, it will cause problems when it is there. If you fix it and change the oil you'll be fine, but letting it keep dumping in is a bad idea. I would imagine it would break down the oil pretty quick.

Im not sure if it was gas it smelt like gas. I think the Fuel regulator vacumn line is leaking fuel into the intake. (its been hard to start on cold starts) and from there its leaking into the pcv. Is it normal for the fuel pressure regulator vacumn to have fuel coming out of it?

No it is not normal. The regulator is bad. It won't kill the motor immediately if there's gas in the oil but change it right away. Of course fix the regulator first and don't drive it much until the oil is changed.
