I usually have issues with newer vehicles but
There is one thing I like about our trucks, the coolant hose that goes through the throttle body and into the radiator neck burps the cooling system right away after its been put back togather. One would think that since there is no control valve in the heater hoses it would burp the air out quickly but it does not all the time and the trucks that have that coolant line do,installed a new radiator in my 95 today and all I had to do was fill it up and after firing it up made sure it was full and filled up the over flow tank and I was done. I will check it tomorrow after its been driven a little.

It seems like the vehicles that do not have that coolant line going to the radiator are usually harder to burp the cooling system and have to wait until the thermostat opens to get the air out and top off,I might have to do that to my older vehicles.
