Removing ECM from 91 F150
I have a 1991 f150 lariat 5.0 and i am trying to remove the EEC. I have unbolted from cabin side and removed connector from engine bay. Not sure how to proceed, still feels tight...any help appreciated...

If I am not mistaken, there is a bolt holding the harness to the ecu under the dash, you should not have to go under the hood to remove ecu. It can be removed from under the dash.

there is a plastic square like item holding down pcm into position.....i dont remember where it came from..is there a pic of the unit so i can see it...thx, darryl

Yes, you should post a pic if you want help with your truck's EEC. But this thread has been dead 13 years, so you should start your own. And you should put ALL the truck's details & history into your signature as this page explains:
