Default relay and ecm wiring

i have an 1988 f150 with a 5.0 engine and someone who had the vehicle before me did his own wiring now i cant check the check engine light codes because the self input wire is missing i tried looking down the wire harness but cant find one cut there is a spliced wire going into one of my relays can anyone tell me what color wires are supposed to go into the two relays (brown and green) thank you

my truck will drive fine for 20 minutes and then will get a power surge and the check engine light comes on and goes off and then on again a few minutes later

The STI is there somewhere. They couldn't have removed it completely. Find it at the main computer plug at the drivers side firewall and trace it down.

EEC- yellow, red ('88 also shows this as a fusible link), black, red/green
Fuel pump- yellow, red, brown, tan/green

That is beautiful. lol

Either get a Haynes manual (it has decent wiring diagrams) or go to the junkyard and get a harness.

33= EGR valve opening not detected. It may be stuck or may not be getting vacuum through/from the control solenoid.
24= ACT sensor out of self test range.
