Redneck's Short Arm D44 SAS
Howdy,
Thought I would share this with y'all. I am currently working on a Solid Axle Swap (SAS) on my '93 F-150 Supercab Flareside 4X4. It has been slow going for me. However, this is due to limited work time and weather (working in pole barn). Did the majority of my research in the SAS section on fullsizebronco.com
Parts on this build are:
D44HP from '79 Bronco
Radius arms from Bronco
Radius arm brackets from Bronco
4" '79 era springs
4.56 gears, limited-slip, and pinion yoke from '93 TTB center section
'79 tie-rod ends
92-97 F-350 draglink
Factory '93 pitman arm
Naturally new bearings, seals, and u-joints
7* C-bushings
Factory mounted TTB coil buckets
6" lift stainless steel brake lines
Still gonna need new shocks
Anyhow this is how it sits at the current moment... I know the coils are bowing forward at this point. However, the radius arms are not completely mounted yet and it is not at ride height. When I lift the axle higher they do go back straight.
