Default 1987 f150 351w carburetor

Hello! I am new to the forum here and am in need of some help from some other f150 owners. I have a 1987 f150 with a 351w that locked up the engine years ago when it was owned by the previous owner. I came to own the truck when I was in college and took it on as a project near the end of the school year. In that time I was able to diagnose the engine and get it torn out of the truck. Then the school year ended and I brought everything home. Long story short there it sat for the next 3 years. Until last year. When I got a rebuilt 351w long block and installed it. It's been a long road getting the engine installed and I am nearing the end. But seeing as it's been almost 4 years torn apart I am having a few issues buttoning up some final things on the truck. 1. I cannot figure out the alternator mounting. 2. The vaccum hose locations and routing. 3. Fuel line locations. I was hoping that someone here would have and ideas/diagrams, or possibly the time to take some clear pictures of the top of their engine bay without the air cleaner on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Take some pictures of YOUR truck, and the remaining parts, and we can probably help you. Look for the vacuum map on the core support or the air cleaner cover.

Ok well I'll start with the alternator first. Here's the location I believe it goes in. As well as a picture of the alternator that came off of the truck, and the brackets I have. Unsure if I'm missing a bracket due to misplacing it or removing the smog pump years ago.

Alternator and brackets i have

Where i think alternator goes

Yes, the alternator goes near the battery. Those brackets don't look factory - especially the one at the top Right. Are those V-belt pulleys? An '87 (even carb) should have a serpentine belt & automatic tensioner. What year is the replacement engine? Who rebuilt it? Did those brackets come from your original truck, or from the replacement engine?

Try to hold the alternator in-line with the pulleys, and see where its mounting points are. Typically, the pivot (the long through-bolt) is toward the top, and the adjustment (the curved slotted bracket and small square bolt tab on the alt.) are toward the bottom. Try to match up the witness marks on the alt. & brackets (assuming they originally went together).

The bracket at the bottom center with 2 hose clamps at the top & 2 bolt holes at the bottom looks like a support for the A/C lines near the compressor.
