I'd recomend MSD. I've used them on every vehicle. I would go with an 8mm wire and straight boot.

I would use msd wires with msd coil and distributor. stock truck=stock wires in my opinion. what plugs are you running? fords love autolites. I have bosch wires with my msd streetfire coil and distributor. runs like a top ,also use autolite plugs. what you are describing sounds like arc which no new spark plug wire should do. I have the same truck as you with only 70000 miles on it and my distributor coil and wires were totally shot, distributor rotor was rusted and corroded so wasnt the plug for my coil. buy the msd coil and distributor cap and rotor, will make a world of difference and only about 85.00 at advanced auto. If you do buy the coil and distributor I think you will lose the arcing problem.if not box them back up and take it back. I know that the msd streetfire coil is cheaper than the stock or around the same price. hope this helps.
