Default Rear end hop???

I'm having problems with my '93 f-150 rear end hopping every time I hit the brakes. I can't figure it out. I've replaced all four shocks and both leaf spring sets. I have no shake in the front end so I don't think it is my front rotors. I've pulled the rear drums and looked at them and they feel fine. All brake shoes look good. The only thing I can think of is something going wrong with the master cylinder? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Default New Member, same problem

Hi everyone, sorry to bring up an old post, but I've got a '93 F150 with the same problem as above. It doesn't happen all the time, but maybe 2-3 times a week when I drive my truck it will do this for the whole trip and then usually it's better after I park it and let it sit for a while. It vibrates a little when driving, and then when I hit the brakes the rear end feels like it wants to jump up and down. The rear brakes look good, and I haven't checked the U-joints yet, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or any ideas? Thanks!

Any ABS fault codes?
Drums round?
Feel any feedback through the brake pedal?

It's a reach, but is the driveshaft true?

No ABS light, drums seem in good shape, smooth and even wear at least, no real feedback through the pedal, just violent vibration in the whole truck originating from the rear end. Check the driveshaft and u joints today, everything seems tight and visibly fine.

You know I never thought of that, and the rear view mirror did fall off a couple weeks ago so I might not have even noticed they were there!!!

Rear brake adjustment and new rear shocks should hook you right up!!!! Rear shocks are probably shot and brakes are out of adjustment causing grabbing effect which will bounce the rear end with bad shocks!!! As you can tell...fought this one on another trucK!!!
