Default 4.9L muffler recommendations

Okay, I bought my F150 4.9L 4 speed with no exhaust behind the cat. I don't wanna keep pissing off the neighbors when I leave for work at 11 pm, but being a single dad, money's tight. Especially after the back-to-school shopping. I saw on Autozone's site they have the exhaust tubing pretty cheap, but I need a decent muffler for $40 or less. I know I can't expect a lot for that price, but I'd like to find something not too restrictive, and hopefully with at least a little rumble to it. I did a search and decided a Cherry Bomb isn't the way I want to go, and I can't afford a Flowmaster. Any advice?

Summit's chambered mufflers are basically Flowmaster knock offs and can be had for about 25-30 bucks. I'll have some on mine soon, money is tight around my house too. Never seems to stop me from spending on my toys though.

my truck had a y-pipe with a glasspack and 2 24 inch long 3 inch stainless steel tips... barely could even hear the truck run, so i cut the glasspack off and used my buddies mig welder to weld on a section of pipe..... it sounds pretty good now.... not loud at all.... im thinking about running straight pipes because i want something that'll rack off and make a little noise
