Default Vacuum lines confusion

They swapped out the 351 on my 94 F-150 about a month ago. The work coming out of that shop wasn't that good so i'm in the process of sorting out all of the problems system by system.

The vacuum lines schematic on the valve cover of the new new motor is a little different from the schematic on the hood of the truck.

For example: The motor calls for two vacuum reserve canisters where the original only had one.

In order to work on it i have to understand what all the different parts do first. I don't understand some of the abbreviations they used. Canp. would be the carbon canister purge solonoid. Vreser. is vacuum reserve.

I can't figure out air B & air D.

Do these go to the heater & AC box ?

Can anyone suggest any good resources that explain the vacuum system and how all the different parts work ?
