I used the 824 and they pretty solid. Brought the truck dead level. Doesnt seem like the 844 would have much give at all.

I am just about to order the Moog CC844 springs and I just had a thought. So, I have Skyjacker Nitro8000 shocks for 0-2" height all around (my truck still had the stock shocks on it 21 years after it rolled off the assembly line). Will this these have enough travel to accomodate the extra height from the Moog CC844 springs without wearing out prematurely?

yes, i had stock shocks on my 150 for 2 years with a level and had no issues.

I replaced my shocks with skyjacker hydro 8000s for 0-2in lift when I replaced the springs and have had zero travel issues so far. Good luck with the replacement.

Can anyone suggest a good spring compressor? I was planning to buy one for this job. Also, hopefully someone can recommend one that doesn't require air tools.

You can borrow one from auto zone/ oreiley for free. You'll just leave a deposit and get it back when you return it. Just make sure you ask for a coil spring compressor. FYI in case you aren't aware of this.

Sorry for the delay, but I was just able to take my, "after" pictures of the truck following installation of the Moog 844 springs and a few hundred miles of driving to let them settle. Installation was pretty easy and did not require a spring compressor. I just jacked my truck up on the frame, removed the J-clip that was holding the top of the spring in place, then loosened the top nut on the shock. After that the spring was only held in place by the keeper at its bottom. After removing that it just fell out (watch your toes). After placing the new shock and reinstalling the lower keeper, I jacked the knuckle up until I could refasten the top nut on the shock and the J-clip that holds the top of the spring in place. Its much easier than I thought. So far there is a really nice difference in ride quality and handling. Definitely worth the $68 on Amazon (free two-day shipping with Amazon Prime). While I am quite happy with them I did not get as much height as I expected, which may just be my truck given others' experiences. Here are my before and after measurements (from the top of the tire to the highest point on the arch of the wheel well). Unfortunately, I didn't think to just measure from the ground to the wheel well until I had already installed the springs.... Also, keep in mind that I installed these about two months ago and have put a few hundred miles on them, so they should have settled.

Before:
Front driver: 5.25"
Front passenger: 5.0"
Rear driver: 8.0"
Rear passenger: 8.5"

After:
Front driver: 6.25"
Front passenger: 6.25"
Rear driver: 8.25"
Rear passenger: 8.25"

I thought for a bit about putting leveling pucks in too, but then just figured that I would save my money and out it toward a 4" or 6" lift kit instead....maybe in the spring (no pun intended)....

I have also attached before and after pictures. The first one is the before and the second is the after.

Thanks to everyone for all their help! For anyone out there that is on the fence about swapping up for the Moog 844 springs, I would say go for it!

After a little more driving around I am thinking about adding a leveling kit to get closer to dead level. I have already added the Moog844 springs, but fell about 2" short of being fully level. I was hoping that I could get a little help with a couple of questions.

1.) I know that this may sound dumb, but given the quoted measurements above, I would just need a 2" leveling kit, right?

2.) Any suggestions on brands? I have not heard good things about the Daystar kit and Rough Country's kit is just longer springs. Can anyone recommend a block-type kit that they have had good experience with? ReadyLIFT?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
